I wish I could buy this one.

2312 Ebony St, Port Townsend, WA

July 25, 2008

I read about Port Townsend, Washington a few weeks ago in the NYT.  Sounds like a cute place, although maybe not for people my age. Although, who really cares.  It is a bit far from anything, Seattle being 2 hours away. But if you don’t have to commute, that’s not so bad for an occasional drive to the city.

Here’s a cute home for sale there.  2312 Ebony St.  Listed at $400,000 for over 30 days according to Trulia. Listing here.

Not too big, but charming. I like the chicken wire on the cabinets:

interesting bathroom woodwork, reminds me of a sailboat for some reason.

4090 25th St & 4221 21st St, SF CA

July 25, 2008

The previous post puts both of these homes to shame, although to be fair they are both about $400k less, which is the cost of a very nice home in most places (but not SF!).

First, 4090 25th st: $1,090,000

Cute kitchen. I am a sucker for subway tile backsplashes.

Next, 4221 21st st

This is more of a ‘has potential’ house. Not run-down, just not jaw-dropping. I could do a lot with this – in some ways, a home like this is more fun.

1143 Diamond, SF CA

$1,398,000 in the Noe Valley neighborhood.

Love the high ceilings.

I also appreciate the presentation of this house: the decor is immaculate, the paint colors are fabulous.
